Options Dialog

Task Tracker offers a number of options that allow you to customise it the way you like.

Options Dialog

Flicker Free Redraw. This offers a faster and smooth method of redrawing the main task view, but some older PC's are not able to support this. It is recommended that you have this option enabled if it works on your PC.

Show Priority As Icons. Tasks can be either High, Normal or Low priority. When this option is enabled, Task Tracker will use icons to represent these states. If the option is disabled, it will use text instead.

Hide Completed Tasks. When a task has been completed, Task Tracker can do one of two things. When this option is enabled, completed tasks will disappear a few seconds after they are marked as completed. The tasks are not deleted, they are just hidden from view. When this option is disabled, completed tasks remain in the document and are simply greyed out.

Minimise To System Tray. When this option is enabled, Task Tracker will add an icon to the System Tray, next to the clock in the bottom right corner of the screen and when you minimise Task Tracker it will go to this icon, instead of to the task bar. When the option is disabled, Task Tracker will behave like a normal Windows application, and minimise to the task bar along the bottom of the screen.

Font & Font Size. Choose the font to use in the main Task Tracker Window.

Colours. Click on each of the colour swatches to choose a new colour to be used when displaying high and low priority tasks, and task notes.

Working Hours. Lets you specify the number of working hours in a day. This is mainly used when producing web pages and summaries of tasks.

Autosave. If autosave on exit is enabled, Task Tracker will save your document automatically and without prompting you when you exit the program. If Autosave every N minutes is enabled, Task Tracker will save your document at regular intervals, ensuring you never loose your work. If Task Tracker is unable to save your document for any reason (for example, your document is read only, or it has never been saved), it will behave as if these options were disabled.
